SW Civil Engineer

Location: SW Division (Dixon, CA) with Office Location TBD Position Summary: Assists the Division Manager and Sales team on multiple projects by utilizing engineering expertise to provide direction, coordination, design and information relative to emerging projects or projects under contract. Expect to work directly with Marina Clients and to interface with Management, Owners, Consultants and other Team Members to develop winning solutions on significant Marine Construction Projects in the State of California. Successful candidates will be subject to a background check and be required to participate in a pre-employment drug screen per our Drug Free Workplace policy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests and similar information to plan and design projects. Calculates costs and determines feasibility of aspects of projects based on analysis of collected data. Coordinates with the General Manager to ensure all relative information is incorporated into the GM's project estimate. Prepares or directs the preparation and modification of reports, studies and plans for projects. Identifies subconsultants needed to complete plans, designs or studies on projects as necessary and oversees the hiring of subconsultants in accordance with Company policies. Prepares and coordinates documents and meetings necessary to acquire project permits. Coordinates and provides information to members of the organization, customers and agencies relative to projects as appropriate. Inspects projects to determine constructability, monitor progress, determine compliance or identify long term maintenance suggestions for facilities. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Keeps accurate and systematic documents in accordance with Company policies and consistent with industry practices. Relative to assigned projects and scope of work, administers project documentation which records contract compliance; documents changes to the work; prepares, negotiates and administers changes to the contract; notifies parties to the contract of changes (via change orders); notifies parties to the contract of disputes; secures authorization for additional work; and resolves other project-related issues. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
