We are currently seeking a skilled Collector for a seven-month contract position to assist in managing delinquent accounts.


Job Description:

As a Collector, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of delinquent accounts, communicating with customers to negotiate payment arrangements, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, excellent phone etiquette, and proficient computer skills.


Responsibilities:

- Contact delinquent customers via phone, email, and mail to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.

- Document all collection activities accurately and thoroughly in the company''s database.

- Analyze customer financial situations and determine the most appropriate course of action to secure payment.

- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while interacting with customers.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries and disputes promptly.

- Meet monthly collection goals and targets set by management.

- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in collections.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in collections, preferably in a similar industry.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

- Proficient in using computer software and database systems.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
