Advanced Chemical Transport Advanced Chemical Transport Dixon, CA Dixon, CA Full-time Full-time $50 - $55 an hour $50 - $55 an hour Job Summary This position will support operations for ACTenviro by conducting environmental services while observing all safety protocols (proACTive).
Non-union prevailing wage Location for this job is in Martinez, CA Accountabilities Perform all task while adhering to our proACTive safety program Receive Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) from Residents/Customers Be courteous and polite to Residents arriving at facility Completion Resident HHW program form for each vehicle Safe off-loading HHW from Residents vehicles Segregation of HHW into hazard categories Packing of HHW by hazard categories Consolidation of paints, oils, and other HHW Proper labeling, marking, and storing of HHW containers Clean up and decontamination of any spills in the HHW area Inspect HHW waste storage areas for safety, compliance, and cleanliness Housekeeping to include; sweeping, mopping, painting, spill clean ups, trash collection, weed abatement, and other general cleaning.
Perform near-miss reporting via spotlight app.
Attends and maintains all required training necessary to perform job Performs safe work practices involving hazardous and non-hazardous waste Experience and Background Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry a plus Awareness of compliance and safety regulations of the industry a plus Education High school education or equivalent Other Information ACTenviro is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans This job description is a general description of essential job functions.
