Dixon Company seeking 2nd Shift Machine Operators who have great attention to detail and excellent measurement skills!Duties and
Responsibilities:
oOperates assigned department machinery (lamination, cutting, fabrication, shapes, recycling, molding, expanding, etc.
) to complete assigned work orders.
oReceives and reviews work orders.
oCommunicates the required amount of material needed to perform tasks to other departments.
oContinuous observation of machine operation to ensure optimal performance of standard work within assigned departments.
oPerforms hazard-based functions on machinery, including lockout/tag out and daily equipment inspection.
oStacks, sorts, and bundles material according to the assigned department's everyday work.
oOccasional housekeeping tasksoRecords data on manufactured material for quality control and improvement functions.
oAchieves production goals while complying with all safety requirements.
oAssists with quality checks to verify proper parameters are adhered to.
oAssists Operators II & III on packaging and end-of-line work, and as needed.
oOther duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
oHighly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.
oMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess excellent attention to detail.
oGood communication, organization, and time management skills.
oBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
oAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
oTeam player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
oAbility to learn and operate new equipment.
