VFT is currently seeking an Assistant Controller for our office in Dixon.
The Assistant Controller will assist the Controller with the financial and accounting affairs of various entities and miscellaneous responsibilities.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Assists with managing accounting for all entities.
Assists in preparing financial statements and consolidation reports.
Assists with managing monthly journal entries.
Assists in preparing general ledger reconciliations for AR and AP.
Manage AP invoice entry, audit account coding, run checks, scan invoices, investigate discrepancies for all entities.
Assist with depreciation computations for monthly financials and budget forecasts.
Assist with equipment schedules and inventory for equipment.
Record fleet mileages.
Manages tech support and handles technological issues.
Assists Payroll Manager with client invoicing and/or cash receipts when electronic records are provided or required for top clients.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of five years of related experience.
Must possess strong accounting and organizational skills.
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with a lot of autonomy.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy (including 10-key).
Ability to generate special computerized reports and schedules with minimal direction.
Ability to operate and navigate computer and software applications at an advanced level, specifically Excel (pivot tables, etc.
) and Outlook.
Experience with Great Plains Software and QuickBooks preferred but not required.
Extended hours and weekend work based on season.
