Under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for ordering parts, components, materials, supplies as well as maintaining inventories in support of machine maintenance practices and plant equipment operations.
And is responsible for demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requires excellent written and oral communications, mathematical and problem-solving skills with special attention to details.
Possess a high sense of urgency and initiative.
Requires the ability to exchange information for the purpose of obtaining information or clarifying details.
Performs such within well-established policies, procedures, and standards.
Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.
Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive and design data, and information.
Requires ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Involves semi-routine standardized work with some latitude for independent judgment concerning choices of action.
Requires the ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving a variety of generally pre-defined duties which are often characterized by frequent change.
The ability to establish and maintain good vendor relationships.
Requires a valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
2 - 3 years' experience in inventory control, purchasing clerk or similar experience preferred.
Regular attendance is required.
Ability to operate forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Standing, walking, talking/listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms.
Lifting up to 100 pounds.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
